Another year older...

33 years. I know crazy huh?! Of course with any birthday it brings on a reflection of the past year. My initial thought was it hasn't been much of a year. But then I asked myself where and what was I doing this time last year? WOW what a year I have had.
  1. Got my B.A.
  2. Enrolled in the ULV credential/masters program
  3. Quit my job of 7 years
  4. Went to South Carolina
  5. My heart issues (that was weird, but its all good now)
  6. Witnessed my niece begin born
  7. I have a nephew on the way
  8. Subsituting
  9. So much more...

It is amazing all the good, bad, and ugly happenings that can happen in 1 year. I look forward to this next year and all the interesting happenings I will encounter.

Trip to see Eliana...Oh and Lindsay & Aric

Oh we love our Eliana...

So the Hampton Crew headed up North to visit Lindsay, Aric and Eliana. Payton had it in her mind that she would hold Elle and play with her and all would be good. Well the cruel reality of a 3 week old is she eats, poops, sleeps and cries. Kyndal lost interest quickly and started playing with Blue (the dog). She and Blue became fast friends and that kept her occupied for the visit. Sweet Payton held on to the smallest possibility that she would be asked to single handedly take care of Elle. Well that didn't happen. Payton decided that being a mother's helper was the way to go. She did everything Aunt Lindsay asked, and in turn Payton got to hold the baby a lot. It was a fabulous visit. The girls love their cousin so much.

Blessed...yea you can call it that!

"What the...?" How in the heck did I get the radest kid EVER! Payton is so rockin'. She received "Student of the Month" and then was asked to write a speech for some big wigs who were going to visit the school. Payton wrote about taking tests, because she LOVES to take tests... I'm choking, where did this kiddo come from? Well she totally knocked it out of the park because the big wigs loved her speech. She even put some comedy in it. I didn't hear the final product but her principal raved about it. How awesome!
